ADHD Basics Newsletter, Issue #006 -- Can B Vitamins Change You Life?
October 12, 2007

This week we are going to learn about B vitamins.

Last issue we talked about gold benefits and the downside of colloidal gold.

I put up a full descriptive page about the benefits of B vitamins. Is there any benefit for someone with ADHD to use B vitamins? I never looked into this until this week. I was amazed at what I came across. It's a good thing my liquid vitamin already has B vitamins in it.

If you haven't heard about the wonderful benefits of B Vitamins, than you are going to be amazed also.

If you want to head right over and read the page on B vitamins and skip this summary, then go right ahead.

ADHD effects mainly the brain and nervous system. B vitamins have direct support to the Brain and nervous system.

There are several different B vitamins and alternative names.

  • B1 Thiamin
  • B2 Riboflavin
  • B3 Niacin
  • B5 Pantothenic Acid
  • B6 Pyridoxine
  • B9 Folic Acid
  • B12 Cobalamin
Some of the B vitamins have the same function. Lets talk briefly about the function of the B vitamins. Again, you can read the full detail about B vitamins. People with ADHD have problems sleeping, focusing, concentrating, staying still, and these kinds of things. We will see if there is anything B vitamins can help with.

Here is what B vitamins do.

  • B1 Thiamin
    • Required for the brain's and nervous system's operation.
  • B2 Riboflavin
    • Supports the body's cells
  • B3 Niacin
    • Supports energy production and other chemical reactions. Counter occasional sleeplessness, aid sleep, and support healthy airway systems.
  • B5 Pantothenic Acid
    • Supports the adrenal gland hormones and energy.
  • B6 Pyridoxine
    • Effects on minerals and neurotransmitters which is part of the nervous system.
  • B9 Folic Acid
    • Direct role in cell growth and maintenance. Help with preventing birth defects, mental function and strengthening the immune system. The liquid supplement I use has the daily recommended amount, for women in the ages of child bearing, of Folic Acid in 1 oz.
  • B12 Cobalamin
    • Essential vitamin to make sure the nervous system runs correctly and supports the brain tissue. There are lists of neurological issues that lead back to a vitamin B12 deficiency.

B Vitamins can help out tremendously. They have a direct impact on humans from pre-birth to adulthood. It can help with the immune system, the brain and nervous system. Our body wont work right if we are lacking them.
