Hi, I believe that I have ADHD but my mother does not. I took the ADHD self-assessment test here and I scored a 41. When my mother did the assessment for testing others she got a score of 21. She still does not believe that I may have ADHD. I have been failing math since I was 9.
I get distracted by my surroundings and thoughts and this affects my school performance. I can't reach my full potential. All the symptoms of inattentive ADHD are what I have. However, my mother never noticed them when I was seven and she says since I'm not hyperactive, nothing's wrong.
She dismisses every complaint I have made since young. People have always commented on how spaced out I am. Friends are starting to notice something is off because I am failing every Math test.
How can I show or tell my mother that I just want to ask a doctor's opinion and get help?
