Diagnosed with ADHD at 44 and Having Issues with Adderall

I've recently been diagnosed and prescribed Adderall XR 30mg. First dose...6 hours of calm and clarity like I've never known, then 30 hrs of terrible headaches, ears ringing, sleeplessness, muscle cramps and jaw pain.

Dr. dropped the dose to 10mg IR. No calm or clarity this time. Only the same negative side effects.

Has anyone had this experience? Are there other meds that may work for me?
