How did your assessment go?

Hello , im about to have and adhd assesment in a week and im wondering if others could tell me their experiences. Im not sure what to expect. Also, did you have to take any lab tests before being prescribed medications? Im seeing a phsychatrist and not sure if he will order labs as im not sure if I can afford to see my doctor also. I will be paying out of pocket. I have lab test from a year ago and wondering if that will be good enough.
