I am a 25 year old female and was diagnosed with ADD about a year ago. I have taken 20mg Adderall twice daily since then. It has made such and awesome difference in my life. I am able to learn, now.
My family owns a small contracting/construction company and I have taught myself almost all aspects of the business within this time frame. I can sit at my desk and complete a project from start to finish which before was completely impossible!! I have had some side effects which are minor compared to the positive effects!
I developed a "nervous habit" when I am sitting and concentrating really hard, I unknowingly begin to fiddle with my tongue. :) Sounds funny, right? I often have to count my pills because I can't remember if I have taken it. (This is usually because I am so enveloped in my work/project).
It is definitely serving a great purpose for me right now. I have two small children and it allows me to see my day-to-day life through from start to finish without leaving random things undone EVERYWHERE! I am interested to know about this, though.........my brother was also diagnosed with ADD and he also takes Adderall.
There appears to be a "short circuit" from his brain to his mouth because sometimes he just can't get to the point of his conversation. There are other times that he will just jump from one subject to the next with no warning. It seems to me that his dosage may not be ideal??? Anyone else have an opinion?
