I had my son when I was 35 years old and was told by the doctors there was a chance he's be mentally challenged. However, he was diagnosised as gifted in the 2nd grade. He is gifted in math and very musically enabled.
Like many adhd kids, he is emotionally challenged (sensitive)and unable to function in most regular classroom.
He lived with his father after we divorced when he was 3, going to a small school with a lot of attention. and he was a member of the band.
However, his father continues to withhold and mishandle my son's medication so that my son flunked out of the ninth grade, and he was sent to a rehab. center for six months.
But after getting the proper medication, my son passed his tests and the court will reverse custody next month!
My teenager plays the guitar by ear, is very artistically enabled and beyond his grade in math. He needs quiet settings and struggles with English, both which I can provide.
